A Message from the President of Events And Adventures
Hi! I'm excited that you want to be a part of Events And Adventures!
You're joining a club that is experiencing explosive growth as people
realize friendship and dating is all about being at the same place at
the same time doing something fun together.
People join Events and Adventures for many reasons (new to town?), but
some of the most common are:
Wanting to get out of the house and have more fun.
Looking for new friends.
Hoping to find someone special to spend their life with.
Which is it for you? When I started the club over 20 years ago the
answer was "1 and 2. Once I had those I suddenly found 3".
I met my wonderful wife in the club, but along the way I went
skydiving for the first time. I climbed to the top of Mount St.
Helens and shared Mikes Hard Lemonade with a group of members as we
threw rocks off of the rim of the crater. I've frozen my butt off
white water rafting the Chilliwack river in British Columbia (emphasis
on "chili") - a 20 person hot tub never felt so good.
I've discovered that an Oktoberfest hayride with the right new friends
can be as exhilarating as bungee jumping (but is much easier on your
back). I've enjoyed the crush of New Years Eve in Las Vegas, the
rush of the end of act one in Wicked, and spring training baseball in
Phoenix.
But most of all I've met 1000's of amazing and wonderful people, many
of whom became close personal friends. And, Finally, I met the most
wonderful woman in the world. Not bad for an "activities club".
